Eric Assmar Trio (álbum homônimo)

O baiano Eric Assmar é daqueles guitarrista de técnica apuradíssima que nos dá

imenso prazer em ouvir.

Filho do também guitarrista e cantor Álvaro Assmar, Eric tem uma pegada na guitarra diferente da do seu seu pai, com grooves e um blues/rock com nítida influências de Steve Ray Voughan, além disso seu vocal completa sua guitarra num conjunto onde um não seria a mesma coisa sem o outro.

Apesar desse álbum ter uma pegada mais pop/rock com pitadas de blues - por vezes vai lembrar John Mayer e

Jaime Cullum - a faixa "Ao Avesso" é puro blues com letra simples, mas com melodias bem trabalhadas, e é um dos pontos altos. A faixa instrumental "Abre Aspas",Eric mostra todo seu poder na guitarra, e o rock, "Sangue No Olho" e pra ouvir batendo cabeça... é onde o Thiago Gomes "mostra pra que veio" (ouça!!!).

Todas as faixas foram compostas por Eric, mostrando que não é apenas mais um no cenario musical, e sim, mais um no meio dos grandes.

O trio é completado por Rafael Zumaeta - baixo, Thiago Gomes - bateria, e participação especial de Álvaro Assmar - violão em "Hanna".

Espero numa futura viagem a Salvador, poder apreciar sua musicalidade ao vivo.
